Cheers (Drink to That) is a TGIF-style slow rock drinking anthem combined with the tropical island vibe I’ve come to like from Rihanna. The smart use of the vocal sample from Avril Lavigne‘s 2002 hit song I’m With You only serves to add to the carefree vibe of the song. With the song lyrics, it’s undeniably one song to be played to signal the start of a drinking session, or the weekend, or both.
