I feel like I lost Nicole somewhere in this song. The song is pop with a tropical feel, even the dance choreography clearly takes from Hawaiian dance. I know that replacing pronouns like “I” with “me” are standard for some people and some genres of music, but I don’t really know why they would do that in Right There. The song does not sound too new to me. Right There sounds a bit like Rihanna‘s Rude Boy, only with less naughtiness. The common denominator? Both songs were co-written with Ester Dean.
Nicole still delivers good vocals in the song, but I don’t feel like Right There is a song that can highlight her singing well. Only in spots, if not at all.

And here is the version featuring 50 Cent.
