Parokya ni Edgar has released Pangarap Lang Kita, a duet with PULP magazine’s Happee Sy. The song is Parokya’s second single off their album Middle Aged Juvenile Novelty Pop Rockers.
The rock group veers away from their usual comic antics in their songs and puts forth a love song. Pangarap Lang Kita has Chito Miranda and Happee Sy giving voices to two people who seem to have given up love for fantasy. The guy thinks he has no hope of getting the girl because he is poor. “Sa TV lang naman kasi may mangyayari, at kahit mahal kita wala akong magagawa”. The girl, on the other hand, is impeded by behavior expected from her as a woman. “Conservative ako kaya di maaari”. Also, Happee gives us some Chinese lyrics expressing her resignation that she isn’t able to do anything about the romantic situation.
