Pink as Rosie the Riveter

The official music video to Pink’s new single “Raise Your Glass” has just come out. Pink reunited with music video director Dave Meyers to create the music video for “Raise Your Glass”.

The video shows us Pink representing the different kinds of “nitty gritty dirty little freaks”. The roles Pink played include Rosie the Riveter (a feminist icon in the US), a gangster, and a high school nerd. The clip also celebrates gay marriage, with Pink as the performer at a gay wedding ceremony while the couple kiss.

“Raise Your Glass” is the lead single from Pink’s upcoming compilation “Greatest Hits… So Far!!!”. The album will be available on November 16.

Dave Meyer has also been responsible for a lot of Pink’s music videos: “Most Girls”, “There You Go”, “You Make Me Sick”, “Get the Party Started”, “Don’t Let Me Get Me”, “Feel Good Time”, “Stupid Girls”, “U + Ur Hand”, “So What”, “Please Don’t Leave Me”, and “Funhouse”.

Dave Meyers has also directed music videos for other artists like Britney Spears (“Lucky”), Hanson (“This Time Around”), Missy Elliott (“Get Your Freak On”), Janet Jackson (“All For You”), Katy Perry (“Firework”), Fergie (“Glamorous”), and a whole bunch of others.
