The music video for Judas, the second single from Lady Gaga’s album Born This Way, has been much-awaited by fans all over.
I felt beforehand that if the music video for Judas is fantastic, people would like the song even more. Even those who haven’t decided whether they liked the song or not will probably come to a decision after seeing the video.
As for me, I have never been a very visual person even if I have a lot of friends who are fine arts or film majors. Maybe the element of shock Lady Gaga has been using for the longest time has worn off, or maybe it’s just me.
The symbolisms in the video came not as surprises but something expected. With a song title like Judas and a Gaga video, I felt that the metaphors lost most of their subtlety as they were just begging to be noticed. What’s your take on it?
Watch Lady Gaga playing the part of Mary Magdalene with Norman Reedus playing the part of Judas.
