Jennifer Lopez - "I'm Into You"

The music video for Jennifer Lopez’s new song I’m Into You is now out. With featuring vocals from rapper Lil Wayne, J. Lo gives us a song with a tropical island feel. The song is the latest single from the Latina pop star’s upcoming album Love?.

I’m Into You has a trippy, beach-y feel with J. Lo handling her vocals well. She doesn’t not strain beyond her limits and gives a sexy edge to the song. Not bad, but not too great either. I’m not particularly falling in love with the song. The hook is not as catchy as Jennifer Lopez’s previous hits, but that is not to say that the song will not challenge you to stand up and dance or sing its title with the American Idol judge.

The lyrics pale in comparison to the more sensuous rhythm and the thumping beat of the song. The best part of the song for me comes near the three-minute mark — a dance interlude delivered with a strong beat that make the song more lively and more engaging to dance to. I wish that the whole song was flavored just as strongly. Overall, I’m Into You is still worth a listen, but may be a song I will skip in my playlist.
