When was the last time we heard a new song from Dingdong Avanzado? I’m not entirely sure, but I’ve recently thought of his 1988 hit song “Tatlong Beinte Singko” just because of Maroon 5‘s song “Payphone.” I wonder if a mashup between the two songs is possible.

The veteran OPM artist is back and has released his album his 25th anniversary album Download distributed by Viva Records. From that album comes “Limutin Ka,” a single where the singer who explores the difficulties of his attempt to forget a lost love. “Limutin Ka” also features rap verses from Gloc-9.

If you are like me who remembers Dingdong’s songs as mostly the ballad types such as “Basta’t Kasama Kita” and “Paalam Na“, the new single will indeed prove refreshing to you. The music is not the usual OPM heartbreak song that wallows in an oasis of its own tears. “Limutin Ka” has an updated and more current sound with an almost urban feel to it.
