Sure, the song also sings about pain, but beyond that Remind Me is just so full of longing for things to go back to how they first were. The song is basically about rekindling the flame in a relationship. Filled with lines describing beautiful memories, Remind Me gives us glimpses of those sweet and tender and sometimes even foolish moments that made sparks fly between loving couples.

However, just as the hook and the title says, Remind Me is still a sad song, although it is a sad song that is still hopeful. It doesn’t choose to linger on the pain.
