American Idol Top 12

First week on the big stage, the top twelve picked songs by the Rolling Stones.
Michael Lynch – “Miss You”
This felt more like a performance that is about energy than a performance focused on singing. It was a good upbeat song, just okay performance. It’s not something I’ll remember. His size just plain distracts me (since I had nothing else to focus on), especially when I saw that tattoo on his left arm close to his armpit.
Didi Benami – “Play With Fire”
The performance was boring. There were good moments that only lasted for maybe three seconds. After the whole episode, the only thing I remember was how she sung “fire” with two syllables. That was interesting. I like her voice though.
Casey James – “All Over Now”
He looks cute, but his brand of cute is distracting for me. There’s just something that slightly annoys me about how he looks, but I can’t quite put my finger on it yet. I don’t even remember how he did this song. I was that distracted. I’m sure we’ll still see him next week.
Lacey Brown – “Ruby Tuesday”
Totally boring. Really. No more words from me.
Andrew Garcia – “Gimme Shelter”
Ok. He tried to rock it. Maybe he did. I don’t remember anything happening that will make me go wow. At least I’ll remember Michael Lynch because of that tattoo on his huge left arm.
Katie Stevens – “Wild Horses”
I was worried for Katie at the beginning, since it’s a slow song. And she has a tendency to sound boring when she does a slow song. But she actually did very well. Plus I like her eyes. I want to see her next week.
Tim Urban – “Under My Thumb”
Awww. Cute guy if he were a nerd. But he didn’t make the song work. The theme is actually bad for him. I haven’t seen anything amazing from the guy before. So I’m kind of iffy whether or not I want to see him move on to the next round.
Siobhan – “Paint It Black”
Strongest performance of the night. Although I’m not really sure I like the high note near the end. I mean she has done that already. If she does it every time, it would become boring. But the performance was definitely something I like.
Lee Dwyze– “Beast Of Burden”
Safe performance. I won’t remember this performance. I didn’t pay too much attention. I actually was trying to remember who he looks like. I’m seeing a little Colin Farrell mixed with a little Elliot Yamin. And now I’ve decided, Lee actually looks good.
Paige Miles – “Honky Tonk “Women”
This performance was just ok. Better than some of the others, but essentially nothing special with this performance. Next!
Aaron Kelly – “Angie”
Another ok performance. Something to pass the time. He has a good voice, but I don’t really think he has what he needs to win this. I don’t see confidence and a WOW factor. Maybe he’s too early? I think he’s too young performance-wise.
Crystal Bowersox – “You Can’t Always Get What You Want”
I actually like this girl. But didn’t like the performance. Maybe I’m expecting her to be a cross between Lou Bonnevie, Jewel, and Tracey Chapman. Oh wait, she actually got better after the first half of the song. Ok,now I’m enjoying her.
Oh, and I saw the blonde girl from “Glee” in the audience. Is that her? Dianna Agron, I have this tiny crush on you.
Top 4 performances for me this round: Siobhan, Crystal, Lee, Katie.

I fifth seat in the judges panel would be a good idea. this guy justinG has better to say than those four nutheads. better yet, let him take Ellen's seat. Yes, the girl/guy seems to be the neutralizer among them, but really this justinG guy breathes fire! and fire is what's needed for the show to keep rating. (BTW, fire is used here as a single syllable word!)
hahaha. thanks for the kind words rascal
