Recently, YG Entertainment released a preview of three tracks from Taeyang’s upcoming solo album “Solar.” One of the songs that was released was the slow track “You’re My.” More recently, the music video for this song, along with the video for “I Need a Girl,” has been released. See the video and my comments below.
“You’re My” remains to be a track I like from Taeyang’s upcoming album. The slow tempo can give off a sexy atmosphere if you don’t understand the lyrics. This sexiness was captured in the simple and subtle music video for “You’re My.” BUT! I found an English translation of the lyrics ( Thanks @kimchigeol ). Here’s the link to the lyrics via http://alwaystaeyang.wordpress.com/. Now with the lyrics in mind, the music video released by YG Entertainment (as shown above) does not fit the song anymore, at least to me. So I scoured Youtube, and I found a live performance of this song. See the video below.
Forgetting some notes that he did not hit quite right in the live performance, I think that if the details from the official video were combined with the details from this live performance, the resulting video would have captured the song perfectly. Have Taeyang topless looking and singing into a one-way mirror with a beautiful model on the other side. The sexy atmosphere generated by the piano will remain while being juxtaposed against the idea of Taeyang longing to kiss his woman. I’m just saying. But I doubt that YG Entertainment will even see this post.

Let me hear your thoughts.
