The Internet 2025

Virus – A virus, often called “computer virus” by oldtimers, is a program entering through your brain chip and meant to stimulate your commercial desires. If you find yourself in the supermarket with the sudden urge to buy enormous amounts of a certain brand of cereals, it might be due to such a “computer virus.” These programs are clearly illegal; stimulating commercial desires via brain chips is required to be opt-in, and has a minimum legal age of 6.

PetStatus – Twitter for Pets

Pet Status

So for the past couple of months, people have been Twitter-crazy. Now here comes a new microblogging service, and it’s for your pets. PetStatus.com gives your pets a chance to join the social media bandwagon.

But besides being for pets, what’s the main difference of PetStatus? If you must know, it is an Open Network Service and implements the OpenMicroBlogging protocol which means that people/pets on other microblogging services can receive your pet’s notices. I’m not really sure how this works since the site is in its early stages for now. Future updates will see the service pulling notices from Twitter et al, Facebook integration, and the implementation of image, video, and audio notices.
