“Material Boy” is a project by Luizo Vega that tries to document the life of a bastard son of Madonna. I’m still unsure if Luizo Vega is indeed Madonna’s son though. It’s really difficult to filter through everything that’s online if they are just publicity ploys or if they contain a grain of truth. But I can’t help but be amazed by how Luizo Vega has progressed with this project. Check out his site for more about the project. He’s a very interesting artist to say the least.

Ever wondered what happened to JoJo? I have always been a fan of this wonderful woman. She’s got the looks, but more than that, she’s got talent, brains, and humor. Alright, I confess. I stalk her in the crazy world known as Twitter. I have a little crush on her.

The Saturdays is a London-based girl group composed of (image above, from left to right) Frankie Sandford, Rochelle Wiseman, Una Healy, Mollie King, and Vanessa White. From what I understand, Vanessa’s mom is Filipino (from Davao?). “Missing You” is a single they released this August 2010. The song has an very pleasant pop feel that doesn’t get tiresome too fast. I’ve been listening to it for a month now and I still haven’t tired of it. The song sings about a lost love. I like the way the lyrics were written. Here are a few lines: “I miss missing you, sometimes / I miss hurting you ’til you cry / I miss watching you as you try / Try not to end up in tears / Begging to get back together / I just want you to be / To be stuck in a second forever / So don’t freak out and believe.” Enjoy the music video shot in Malaga, Spain below.

Recently, YG Entertainment released a preview of three tracks from Taeyang’s upcoming solo album “Solar.” One of the songs that was released was the slow track “You’re My.” More recently, the music video for this song, along with the video for “I Need a Girl,” has been released. “There Goes My Baby” is a slow and heartfelt ballad from Usher’s 2010 album “Raymond v Raymond.” This is just the kind of sound Usher is known for (aside from his more upbeat songs). His past successes that came from slow songs like this include some of my favorites like “Confessions” and “Burn.”

“DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love Again,” a collaboration with Pitbull of “Calle Ocho” fame, is the first track from Usher’s soon to be released 8-track EP called “Versus” and “Raymond v Raymond (The Deluxe Edition)” available on August 24th!

I’ve been meaning to blog about this song since I first heard it. I actually wasn’t a big fan of the new sound at first.

I only heard “Drowing” via Facebook since one of Black Summer’s members, Allen, and I used to work in the same company). “Drowing,” I think, is their latest song, but I’m currently listening to their whole playlist via Black Summer’s Multiply site.
