New Song from Lady Gaga – “You and I”

Lady Gaga in a Hello Kitty photo shoot

(Image from Lady Gaga’s website)

Lady Gaga performs a new song in Elton John’s White Tie and Tiara ball in Windsor, England. She says that the song will most likely not be released as a single being a rock and roll tune. I find songs like these more interesting as she deviates from what she is more well-known for.

Preview of Three Tracks from Tae Yang’s “Solar”

Now I’m not someone I would call a Kpop fanboy, but man this guy Tae Yang has real talent, although I gotta admit he reminds me of Kris Lawrence.

Tae Yang

Tae Yang has previously opened for such big artists as Alicia Keys and Brian McKnight. He is also from Korean boyband Big Bang. Recently, Big Bang’s members have been doing it solo, but I don’t really know if they will be breaking up as a group (I hope not), or if this is just a phase to let each member grow individually.

As of writing, previews of three tracks from “Solar” have been released to the public as teasers for the album’s eventual release on July 1.

1st preview – Solar (Intro)

Assorted Shades of Grief by RMG

I was cleaning my apartment when I rediscovered a poem that a friend from long ago wrote for me back in 2001. It’s sad that we lost contact. This piece just addressed a certain part of me that longed for a companion. I remember writing a poem in response to it while I was in college, but I lost my copy. I also remember responding to my friend’s poem with a mixed media project I made for my Humanities 2 class. As I re-read it now, I remember the changes I have been through. It seems I have grown up, but only a little. The person described in his poem still remains a big part of who I am today.

The Internet 2025

Virus – A virus, often called “computer virus” by oldtimers, is a program entering through your brain chip and meant to stimulate your commercial desires. If you find yourself in the supermarket with the sudden urge to buy enormous amounts of a certain brand of cereals, it might be due to such a “computer virus.” These programs are clearly illegal; stimulating commercial desires via brain chips is required to be opt-in, and has a minimum legal age of 6.

That was taken off an article by Philipp Lenssen. It is a very fun read for geeks and net surfers alike.
